Nigeria saw another jump of 17 new coronaviruses cases, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) latest update, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rose to 305, and 7 death.
The NCDC said eight of the new cases were recorded in Lagos, 3 in Katsina, 2 in Abuja, and one case each in Ondo, Niger, Kaduna, and Anambra state.
Currently, coronavirus cases have now spread to 19 states in Nigeria, Lagos has 163 cases, FCT- 56, Osun – 20, Edo – 12, Oyo – 11, Bauchi – six, Akwa Ibom – five, Ogun – 7, Kaduna – six, Enugu – two, Ekiti – two, Rivers – two, Kwara – two, Delta – two, Benue – one, Ondo – two, Katsina – four, Niger – one, and Anambra – one.”
While the spike in the number of COVID-19 cases is alarming, there have been steady recoveries across the country. Currently, Nigeria has 240 active coronavirus patients, while 58 people have been cured and discharged.
