276 COVID-19 Cases, 16 Deaths in Last 24 Hours Take Nigeria’s Tally to 8344

Nigeria’s tally of confirmed coronavirus cases crossed 8,300 on Tuesday after over 276 fresh infections and 16 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. “276 new #COVID19 cases and 16 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases in the country now at 8344 including 2385 cured/discharged and 249 deaths,” according to NCDC new update.

The NCDC daily Covid-19 Update also show more New cases in rivers as the state recorded 36 cases on Tuesday, the same day Governor Nyesom Wike lifted lockdown restrictions in all parts of the state.

Edo recorded 27 new cases, followed by Kaduna with 19 new cases, and Nasarawa with 10.

NCDC also announces six cases in Oyo, four in Kano, Delta and Ebonyi recorded three cases each while two cases new cases were also registered in Gombe. Ogun, Ondo, Borno, Abia and Bauchi reported one case each.

The country also discharges 74 patients who recovered from the coronavirus disease putting the total telly of recovered to 2385, now Nigeria has 5710 active cases.
