The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria now stands at 1532, with 195 new infections reported on Tuesday. The total deaths due to COVID-19 rose to 44 on Tuesday, with 4 new patients succumbing to the virus in 24 hours. Additionally, 255 have recovered.
According to the update made by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 80 followed by kano with 32 infections.
Ogun and Bauchi each recorded 15 new cases, while Gombe recorded 10 new cases, followed by Sokoto with nine new cases, five each in Edo and Jigawa, and two new cases in Zamfara.
Rivers, Enugu, Delta, Nasarawa, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja all shared five.
Out of 36 states, only Cross River, Kogi, and Yobe are yet to record a coronavirus case, while thirty-three states and the FCT have confirmed cases of COVID-19
