The war against racism doesn’t look any closer to coming to it’s end as more Africans and people of color report endless cases of racial abuse. Alphonso Davies became an object of ridicule by some racists who took to his girlfriend’s instagram posts to pick on him.
Jordyn Huitema posted some cute photos of herself and fellow canadian boyfriend Alphonso Davies on instagram, the posts caused quite a stir by black hating Americans who disapproved of her relationship with the Bayern Munich player. The comment section was besieged with hate speeches and admonitions to get rid of her lover whom some of them described as a “Monkey”.
Davies and Jordyn so far hasn’t responded to any of the comments. However, some fans expressed displeasure to Instagram for bluntly refusing to sanction the hate speeches. Instagram help center revealed that the comments which reported as harmful by sympathizers doesn’t go against community rules.
Alphonso Davies is a Ghana born Canadian whose family sojourned I. Canada as refugees. He signed for Bayern Munich in 2017 and made the team’s starting XI in 2018. He was accessory to Bayern Munich’s 8-2 decimation of Barcelona in Last season’s Champions league quarter finals.
