A 40-year-old man in Glasgow, Scotland, has died from coronavirus after he told his wife that he doesn’t want to fight this anymore.
Ryan Storrie had asthma and he got diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 20 after he complained of fever and persistent coughing but was told to stay in his bedroom rather than go to a hospital as he tried to fight the virus reports Dailymail.
Ryan’s wife Hilary talked to The Sun and revealed that she had a word with him an evening before and he seemed better than the past few days when he could barely talk. She revealed that Ryan told her he won’t be able to fight the coronavirus and the next morning when she went to check on him, she found him dead in his bed.
“That was when he turned and said to me “I’m done, Hilary, I can’t keep fighting it”.
“He went to his bed that night and when I went to check on him the following morning – Day 11 – he was gone.”
Hilary urged people to take the coronavirus seriously and not wait for someone dear to pass away to take the precautionary measures.
“It takes someone that you love dying from this for it to hit home, for you to realize how serious it is,” she said.
