In a real-life ‘Breaking Bad’ like incident, a Ph.D. degree holder chemist was arrested for manufacturing a banned psychotropic substance, mephedrone, worth more than $85,660 (NGN 33,286,568).
According to Indiaexpress, the chemist worked in the Pharma sector before starting this illegal business.
He was caught red-handed while trying to delivering 3.15 kilograms of mephedrone, that he manufactured himself.
When being investigated it was revealed that he has manufactured and sold more than 100 Kgs of Mephedrone in the last one year.
Also a search in his house leading to seizure of $16,860 in cash and 112 grams of Mephedrone samples of different purities.
