Cardi B recently reached a significant milestone when she became the first woman to have a song-certified RIAA platinum.
The 29-year-old superstar rapper celebrated Women’s History Month by making RIAA history with her first album, Invasion of Privacy, which became the first album ever to have all of its tracks certified Platinum or higher.
Cardi B retweeted Chart Data’s report celebrating the remarkable achievement. “AMAZING ….can’t wait for my second album♥️” she penned. She then went on to thank all her fans for their love and support.

Her album “Invasion of Privacy,” has sold over 3 million units and was awarded 3x Multi-Platinum certification in 2019. On its launch, the Bronx-bred rapper’s debut studio album set the tone for its eventual success, topping the Billboard chart.
“IOP” went on to become the first female rap album to win Best Rap Album at the Grammys. It was also Spotify’s most-streamed female rap album in history.
Cardi B continues to make history with “IOP,” as the lead single “Bodak Yellow” became the first female rap song to be certified Diamond (10 million units).
While her first album was a huge success, Cardi B is still evolving as an artist, as seen by her collaboration with SZA on the remix of Summer Walker’s “Nove Love.”
