Coronavirus in Nigeria: 31 Deaths, 490 Cases in 24 Hours; Total Tally at 17148

  At this time of corona crisis, 31 on Tuesday recorded 31 COVID-19 deaths, highest in a single day, taking the death toll to 455. The country also reported 490 new cases in the past 24 hours, pushing the total tally to 17,148.

The Nigeria center for diseases control (NCDC) in its bulletin said that the 490 cases were confirmed in 15 states and the federal capital territory(FCT).

Lagos the worst hit state in the country registered 142 New cases followed by the FCT which is the second most-hit state recorded 60 new cases.

Bayelsa followed with 54 new cases while Rivers and Delta recorded 39 and 37 respectively.

Remaining states with new coronavirus cases includes, Oyo-30 Kaduna-26, Imo-23, Enugu-19, Kwara-17, Gombe-11, Ondo-10, Bauchi-8 Ogun-7, Borno-6, Benue-1.

On the bright side Nigeria on the Tuesday discharge 274 petients, active cases total tally now stand as 11070.
