Nigeria, on Friday, registered 386 new cases of the novel coronavirus, raising the overall tally to 3912, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) twitter update report.
Also, a total of ten death was recorded today, taking the country’s official COVID-19 death count to 117. 78 patients were cured and thus discharged today, taking the total number of those discharged in the country to 679.
Of the new cases, 176 are in Lagos, 65 are in Kano, 31 in Katsina while FCT and Borno recorded 20 and 17 cases respectively.
Fifteen in Bauchi, Fourteen in Nasarawa, thirteen in Ogun, Ten in Plateau, followed by
Oyo, Sokoto and rivers, with Four each, recorded in past 24 hours.
Three COVID-19 cases were also recorded in Kaduna, Two each in Edo, Ebonyi and Ondo while Enugu, Imo, Gombe and Osun announced one each of the China-originated virus.
With the number of cases recorded in Lagos, the state remains the COVID-19 hotspot in the country, with 1667 cases followed by kano with 547 and FCT with 336 cases of the infection. Borno came forth with 142 while Gombe follows with 110 cases.
