The number of #Covid19 cases in Nigeria has climbed to 8915, making it the most worst-hit country by the coronavirus pandemic in West Africa.
The Nigeria centre for disease control (NCDC) said the death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 259 in the country, while the number of cases climbed to 8915, registering an increase of 5 deaths and a record jump of 182 cases since Thursday evening.
Going by the NCDC data updated in the evening of Thursday, the number of new confirmed cases in the country are from Lagos with 111 followed by FCT with 16, Akwa Ibom with 10, eight in Oyo and six each in Kaduna and Delta.
Five cases were also recorded in Rivers, four each in Ogun and Ebonyi, three in Kano and two cases each in Plateau, Gombe and Kwara state.

However, around 2592 patients have recovered and been discharged so far including 91 that recovered on Thursday,
