Nigeria has posted its daily increase in #Covid-19 cases so far as 248 new infections were reported on Sunday, reflecting the continuation of the recent trend of the high number of new infections every day.
Of the 248 cases reported, Eighty-one fresh cases were reported in Lagos, which has been the worst-hit state in the country with a total tally of 1845 infection.
As per reports, Jigawa has reported Thirty-five new cases followed by Borno and Kano with around Twenty- six cases, while Bauchi recorded Twenty new cases.
The total number of cases in FCT (Abuja), which has emerged as third hotspots in the country, touched 356, with Thirteen cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Edo and Sokoto, account 12 and 10 fresh cases respectively, followed by Zamfara with Seven new reported case of the coronavirus, While Kwara, Kebbi recorded Four cases each on Sunday.
The NCDC also announced two new cases in Gombe, Taraba, Ogun and Ekiti, while Osun and Bayelsa registered one fresh case of the infection.

While 33 people were discharged following recovery from various hospitals in the country, the aggregate number of those who have overcome the illness caused by the virus stood at 778, the Nigeria centre for disease control (NCDC) says.
Following the NCDC update, Nigeria now has a total of 4399 confirmed cases, including 778 discharge and 143 recorded death, the total number of active cases is now 3478.
