The death toll due to #COVID-19 rose to 171 and the number of cases climbed to 5445 on Friday, registering an increase of four deaths and 288 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Nigeria centre for disease control (NCDC).
The number of active cases stood at 3954 while 1320 people have recovered from the infection.
Of the 288 new cases reported since Friday, 179 were in Lagos, 20 in Kaduna, 15 each in Katsina and Jigawa, 13 in Borno, 11 in Ogun, Eight in Kano, Seven in FCT, Four each in Niger and Ekiti.
Three new cases each were recorded in Oyo, Delta, Bauchi, while Kwara and Edo registered two and One cases respectively.
Of the 5445 cases, Lagos tops the tally with 2278 cases, Kano comes second with 761 cases, followed by FCT at 386, Katsina at 239, Bauchi at 210, Borno at 204, Jagawa at 191, Ogun at 145 and Kaduna at 134.
