COVID Cases in Nigeria Cross 90,000-mark, Nine more death cost by the virus was reported

Nigeria on Sunday report 917 new cases of covid-19, the country also discharges 255 patients while nine people died from the deadly infection.

According to the Nigeria center for disease control (NCDC), update through its social media handle, 17 states in the country recorded new cases, including the capital territory, Abuja, which lead the list with 222 new cases followed by Lagos with 214 cases.

The update also shows that Kaduna recorded 119 placings at third in the list, while 92 was recorded in Plateau state.

Other state includes, Nasarawa with 50, followed by Oyo(41), Adamawa(33), Ondo(32), Abia(28), Ogun(19), Rivers(17), Kano(16), Yobe(14), Edo(8), Anambra(6), Ekiti(5), Jigawa(1).

Nigeria’s COVID-19 infections crossed 90,000 after Sunday 917 fresh coronavirus cases were reported in a single day across the country, the total number of confirmed cases now stands at 90,080.

With nine more coronavirus related deaths confirmed by the NCDC on Sunday, Nigeria’s COVID-19 death toll has jumped to 1,311, while 75,044 in total has been discharged.
