BbNaija lockdown housemate Erica Nlewedim tweeted her decision to take a break from social media because of the criticisms she recieves from internet users.
Erica became the target of social media bullies after her initial quarrel with fellow housemate and eventual winner Laycon which she body-shamed him after rejecting his advances. The viewers of the show who were sympathetic to Laycon spared no opportunity to troll her which led to her disqualification.
Four months after the end of Big brother Naija show, Erica still complains she’s been a victim of cyberbullying daily on twitter and instagram, which led to her decision to consider deleting her social media pages.
Erica was dragged on twitter shortly after the release of Wizkid’s “ginger” video featuring African Giant crooner Burna Boy. The video which received widespread criticisms earned Starboy some amount of dragging on twitter for his choice of clothing in the video. Erica unwittingly got in the way, taking a fair share of the criticisms because she’d previously tagged herself “Star Girl”.
