James Rodriguez is set to join Allan from Napoli tomorrow at Goodison Park where both players will complete their medicals, has proved to be a real coup for the Toffees.
Rodriguez made 125 appearances for the Spanish giants Real Madrid following his £63m arrival in 2014 after shining in that summer’s World Cup in Brazil for his countryside Columbia.
The Colombian hero will be reunited with Carlo Ancelotti who brought him to Madrid after running of favour with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.
The 29-year-old has been deprived of playing-time in recent months with Real Madrid post the COVID-19 lockdown, making just two substitute appearances.
He spent the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons on loan at Bayern Munich, contributing 14 goals in 53 appearances. Bayern, however, decided not to sign him on a permanent transfer once his loan spell ended.
