According to the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19, before schools and learning facilities reopen, they must all comply to the following guidelines for schools reopening
- All institutions of learning must have hand washing facilities, body temperature checks, body disinfectants at all entering points to their major facilities including the gates, hostels, classrooms, toilets and offices.
- The whole premises of each institution must be decontaminated and all efforts must be geared toward maintenance of the highest level of hygiene.
- Ensure social and physical distancing in class sizes and eating spaces.
- All activities that requires body contacts should be suspended.
The PTF chairman also warned worship centers, states which will hold elections and all public gathering to be cautious of covid-19 pandemic and continue to adhere to NCDC covid-19 guidelines.
He urged all schools who has met with the guidelines for schools reopening to reopen for academic purposes.
