YBNL’s musical star Fireboy DML has lamented about the recent activities of the Nigerian police force in the unlawful execution of young Nigerians on suspected fraudulent charges.
The young artiste expressed his disappointment in the nation’s policing system and insisted that the Nigerian police force needs a complete reform, adding that the inclusion of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) in the country’s policing system is not necessary. According to his tweet, many innocent Nigerians have lost their lives carelessly at the predatory hands of SARS and no significant precautions have been put in place by the federal government to curb this phenomenon.
Stressing on the role of the federal government, Fireboy DML argued that the authorities have been mute on the issue, keeping a blind eye as more Nigerians are getting gunned down everyday. The outcry of well meaning Nigerians on the social media spaces for the expulsion of the Special Anti Robbery Squad seems to yield no meaningful results, it appears that the citizens are left to their fate, a situation which Fireboy DML described as “makes no sense”.
