Global Covid-19 cases exceed 18 million, while death Surpass 690,000 — Johns Hopkins University

The number of novel coronavirus cases around the world has exceeded 18 million on Monday, the overall number of cases currently stands at 18,288,573, said the US-based Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University, which compiles its statistics based on data from international organizations, federal and local authorities.

The global Covid-19 deaths also surpassed 690,000 on Monday, the US reported the most Covid-19 deaths, standing at 155,469, followed by Brazil with 94,665 deaths. Other countries with over 30,000 fatalities include Mexico, Britain, India, Italy, and France.
