Jose Mourinho could make a stunning return to his former club Chelsea.
The Portuguese coach, according to the Daily Mail, would be available to succeed Graham Potter should the club choose to do so.
With the Blues currently on a poor run of form, the pressure on the Englishman is increasing.
The west London club has lost three consecutive games and is winless in six, leaving them in 10th place in the Premier League table.
Rumours about Potter’s possible departure persist, and Mourinho is said to be interested in the position if it becomes available.
The report said, the 60-year-old and his agents reportedly informed the two-time European champions of their interest in the position since the venerable manager adores the Premier League.
Mourinho presently coaches for AS Roma, but after lately getting into trouble with the Italian league and his team’s faltering league form, it appears he is becoming disillusioned with his tenure in the club.
The Setubal native’s family still lives in London, and he is claimed to have always liked coaching in the English Premier League.
The former FC Porto, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan manager was highly successful during his two prior stays at Stamford Bridge, winning three league titles, three League Cups, and an FA Cup.
