‘Judge Judy’ to end after 25 seasons as Sheindlin introduce a new project


Judge Judy, an American TV program is ending after 25-yea,r host Judy Sheindlin announced.

Judy made this announcement on Monday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that the 2020-2021 season of her show will be it’s last.

“I’ve had a 25-year-long marriage with CBS, and it’s been successful,” Sheindlin told DeGeneres.

“Next year will be our 25th season, silver anniversary, and CBS, I think, sort of felt, they wanted to optimally utilize the repeats of my program, because now they have 25 years of reruns. So what they decided to do was to sell a couple of years’ worth of reruns.”

However, she explains that she is not ready to retire as she is set to host another new project. even went ahead to give a little hint about the new project which she called “Judy Justice.”

The popular America TV show “Judge Judy” began in 1996 and was most recently renewed by CBS TV Distribution in 2018 through 2021. The blockbuster deal reportedly included a $47 million a year salary for Sheindlin and CBS acquiring the Judge Judy library from Sheindlin for $80-$90 million, Deadline Quote.
