Apparently, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have called it quits, a source close to the couple has said.
According to E! News, the pair reportedly split up after nine months of dating. Kim and Pete have decided to merely be friends, a source tells the publication, after recognizing that their hectic schedules “made it really difficult to maintain” a romantic relationship.
Despite their alleged breakup this week, the insider claimed that the couple still has “a lot of love and respect for each other.”
Kim, 41, and Pete, 28, initially fueled romance speculations in October when they were photographed holding hands on a group vacation to Knott’s Berry Farm in Southern California, alongside Kim’s sister, Kourtney Kardashian, and now-brother-in-law, Travis Barker.
They first met earlier that month, when Kim hosted “Saturday Night Live” and shared a kiss with Pete in a “Aladdin”-themed skit.
Following their Instagram debut in March, the couple attended back-to-back high-profile red carpet events that spring, including the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and the Met Gala.
Though things appear to have calmed down subsequently, fans will still be able to witness Kim and Pete together in the upcoming season of Hulu’s “The Kardashians.” In Season 1, the “SNL” alum made a racy off-camera appearance during a post-credits sequence.
In terms of Kim’s relationship with ex-husband Kanye West, E! says that the couple’s divorce is proceeding as they co-parent their four children.
