Liverpool and Bayern Munich have reached an agreement on Sadio Mane’s move.
The Senegal forward will now have a medical before moving to the Allianz Arena, with an official announcement expected by the end of the week, according 90mins.
Mane stated his decision to leave Anfield at the completion of the 2021/22 season, and German champions Bayern promptly expressed an interest, although their first two bids were almost immediately rejected.
However, the two clubs have now agreed on a deal worth around £15 million less than Liverpool’s initial £40 million asking price, with Bayern contributing roughly £15 million more than their initial offer.
Mane met with the Reds management on Friday, before their scheduled meeting with Bayern, and decided to forego his own potential earnings from the move in order for the deal to be completed as quickly as possible.
He has accomplished a great deal since joining the club for £34 million in 2016. For six seasons, the Senegalese star progressed from a streaky striker with no clear position to playing in the world’s best front three.
After becoming Jurgen Klopp’s first significant signing to overhaul the club, Mané won every single club trophy he could.
