The death toll due to coronavirus rose to 22 and the number of cases climbed to 665 in the country, registering an increase of 1 death and 38 new cases on Monday, according to data from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The number of active COVID-19 cases stood at 455 while 188 people have been cured and discharged, the NCDC said.
Kano has 23 new cases, Gombe has reported 5 cases, Kaduna has 3 cases, Borno and Abia State has 2 each while FCT, Sokoto, Odisha, and Ekiti have reported one case each, according to the NCDC data.
Abia state joins the list of states with the virus, while Lagos State for the first time since the outbreak in Nigeria, recorded no case of the virus, but still has the highest record with 376.
