Nigeria registered 114 new coronavirus cases on Friday – its second-biggest spike since the beginning of the pandemic – taking the total to 1095. The number of deaths rose to 32, according to data by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NCDC said that a total of 208 people have recovered from COVID-19 so far.
In the new NCDC update, Lagos state has the highest infections with 80 cases while Gome followed with 21 infections. Federal Capital Territory Abuja came third with 5 infections and followed by Zamfara and Edo with 4 cases shared between them equally.
However, Kaduna, Sokoto, Oyo, and Ogun, record the lowest with 1 case each among them.
