Nigeria on Wednesday recorded 284 new #COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths, including 199 in worst-hit Lagos, taking the overall tally to 6677 and the number of fatalities to 200, an NCDC daily update said.
In the latest update, Lagos confirmed 199 cases of COVID-19, followed by Rivers with 26 cases and Oyo with 19 cases.
Eight each in FCT and Borno and seven in Plateau state, six cases were also confirmed in Jigawa, five in Kano, two in Abia and one case each in Ekiti, Delta, Kwara and Taraba state.
A total of 104 patients were discharged, taking the tally of the recovered cases to 1840, the update said.
The country now has a total of 4637 active cases. Lagos alone now accounts for 2954 of the total 6677 infections, he said.
