Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases on Friday climb to 48,445 with 329 new cases, Lagos and Kaduna state collectively reporting 113 and 49 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on 14th, August 2020, stated through its daily update via social media that the new cases are from 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
It also said 1689 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, while seven have succumbed to it.
The Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Friday recorded 33 new cases, while Plateau reported 24 fresh cases followed by Kano with 16 new cases of the infection in the last 24 hours.
The NCDC also announce Edo-15, Ogun-14, Delta-13, Osun-10, Oyo-8, Ekiti-6,
Bayelsa-6, Akwa Ibom-5, Borno-4, Enugu-4, Ebonyi-3, Rivers-2, Bauchi-1, Nasarawa-1, Gombe-1,Niger-1.
The active cases in the country stand at 11,474.
