Nigeria records 55 new COVID-19 cases, zero deaths

Nigeria on Friday reported 55 fresh COVID-19 cases and zero deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known via its verified Twitter handle.

According to the health agency, the newly reported cases were from eight states including the country capital, Abuja.

It said Lagos recorded 21 cases while Yobe recorded 19 cases. Others in the list are Ogun-six, Akwa Ibom-three, Kaduna-two, Plateau-two, while FCT and Rivers recorded one each.

The overall tally is 165,110, while the number of discharge patients now stands at 155,101 with 60 covid patient discharge on Friday 30th, 2021. The country now has 7,946 active cases.
