Nigeria has recorded a single-day rise of 600 COVID-19 cases taking Nigeria’s tally to 35454; death toll has climbed to 772 with three new fatalities.
According to The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its social media pages, the new cases were all recorded in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Lagos accounted for the highest number of cases with 129, closely followed by FCT with 118, and Oyo with 87. Also read – Two Tankers Collides, Causing Heavy Traffic- Ibadan Expressway
A total of 55 cases were reported in Kano, 42 in Benue, 35 in Enugu, 28 in Kwara, 16 in Imo, 13 in Ogun state, while Kaduna, Ogun both registered 12 cases each and Delta and Edo followed with 11 cases each.
Other states with new cases are Plateau(8) Nasarawa(6) Ekiti(6) Niger(6) Borno(4) Abia(4) Gombe(3).
However, 34 patients who recovered from the highly infectious disease were released on Friday, raising the total recoveries to 14,633 while the country active cases now stand at 20,049.
