Nigeria records highest coronavirus case in a day with 51 new cases and 4 death

The number of Coronavirus cases in Nigeria soared to 493, with 51 fresh infections being reported on Friday. Further, Nigeria’s most populated city, Lagos reported 32 new cases in the past 24 hours, taking the total tally of COVID-19 infections in the state to 283.

Other state Includes Kano, with six cases, Kwara with 5, while FCT, Oyo, Katsina with two cases each. Ogun and Ekiti recorded one each.

While the number of active COVID-19 cases stood at 317, as many as 159 people have been cured and discharged, and the death toll due to the novel coronavirus rose to 17, with 4 death reported on Friday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reports.
