Just a day after Nigeria withness a decrease in Covid-19 cases, the country has again recorded a low number of cases with 288 cases reported on 3rd August the said in its daily update that new cases were recorded 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Leading as the most- hit state in the country, Lagos registered the highest number of cases in a single day with 88 new infections, the total number of cases in the state now stands at 15,355.
Kwara state followed with 33 new cases while Osun and the federal capital territory recorded 27 and 25 respectively, also on the list of state with new cases of COVID-19 are, Enugu with 25 cases, Abia with 20 cases, Kaduna with 17 cases, Plateau and Rivers with 13 cases each.
The NCDC also announce ten new cases in Delta, eight in Gombe, four and three in Ogun and Oyo respectively, while Katsina and Bauchi recorded one case each.
Also on the NCDC coronavirus daily update, the country discharged 355 patient from the isolated centers across the country, which add up to the total number of discharged patients to 20,663, the number of death due to the deadly virus also increase to 896 including eight persons that died from the infection on Monday 3rd, 2020.
