A Nigerian man, Adedoja, has been sentenced three life sentences, including an additional 76-years in prison after found guilty of rape, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, two counts of child molestation, false imprisonment, aggravated assault, terroristic threats.
According to a statement by the Prosecutor, revealed that Adedoja pursued his victim into the woods, punched and beat her, tossed her to the ground before raping and sodomizing her.
However, the defense approached the court for leniency and furthermore to permit Adedoja to come back to Nigeria, however, the judge denied argue, including that mercy isn't his to give and that he isn't the one to request mercy from.
"Mercy isn't mine to give you. I'm not the one you ought to request mercy from."
“This man is a predator in every sense of the word, and the only way I know to guarantee that he doesn’t rape another child is to make sure he is never outside of a prison again,” Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Samantha J. Newman told the court during the sentencing hearing
"He deserves the sentence he got, and the victim has the right to know that he will never at any point, hurt her or any other person again. Because of this victim’s strength and bravery in testifying, she has guaranteed that the Defendant won't have the option to go after another lady or kid again". Newman added
