Nigerian Ports Authority Denial recording cases of COVID-19

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has rebuked the claim of a case of coronavirus as claimed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

NCDC has earlier reported that 6 new confirmed cases of the virus in Nigeria were detected on a vessel.

However, the Port Authority in a tweet denial that 6 new cases were recorded as claimed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

“Hello @NCDCgov. In respect to the 6 new cases that “were detected on a vessel” in Lagos, the Authority in collaboration with Port Health has not recorded any confirmed cases to date,” the tweet said.
