Nigeria’s coronavirus count close to 50 thousand marks, as the country in the last 24 hours, recorded daily cases of 410, taking its overall tally to 49895. Also, there were four deaths in the said period, taking the death toll past the 977 marks to 981.
According to the update by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday, cases were recorded in 15 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Lagos still being the worst-hit state in the country recorded the highest number of new cases with 210, followed by the FCT with 45, Ondo with 30, Plateau with 21, Edo with 19, and Ogun with 16.
The NCDC update also shows other states that recorded new cases are Oyo (13), Nasarawa (12), Bauchi (11), Enugu (10), Kwara (7), Kaduna (6), Anambra (4), Ebonyi (3), Abia (2), and Rivers (1).
217 patients who recovered from the novel disease were released on Tuesday, the number of recovered and active cases, meanwhile, is at 37,051 and 11,863 respectively.
