Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases inches closer to the 500-mark as NCDC confirms 34 New Infections

In the highest-ever jump to date, Nigeria in the space of 24 hours reported 34 new cases of the coronavirus and 1 fatality since Thursday as the death toll increased to 12 and the total number of infections inched closer to the 500-mark.

Nigeria has registered a total of 407 cases till date, of which 267 are active and 128 are cured/discharged, according to the Ministry of Health and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday Evening.

With 18 new cases were reported from Lagos, 12 and 1 death from Kano, 2 from Katsina, 1 each from delta and Niger, summing it to a total of 34 new cases, announced by NCDC

Nigeria has also seen a rapid increase in cure/ discharge cases in the last 24 hours with 29 people being discharged as per the NCDC new update through its twitter handle.
