At least 238 new cases of Covid-19 and two death was recorded in Nigeria in the last 24 hours as the country’s continued to face rising cases of the virus. Eight

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its official website handle on Wednesday morning.

According to the new data released by the health agency, 238 new cases are reported from six states including the federal capital territory (FCT).

Lagos recorded new infections with 180 cases followed by Akwa Ibom with 45 and Oyo state with eight cases. Other states that reported cases include Ogun (2), Ekiti and FCT recorded one each respectively.

The agency disclosed that eight people who had recovered from the disease were discharged from isolation centres across the country.

To date, 170122 cases have been confirmed, 164741 cases have been discharged and 2130 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, according to NCDC publish article.
