The nationwide tally of confirmed #COVID19 infections has passed 11,000 on Wednesday with a record number of 348 new cases getting detected across 18 states and the federal capital territory, while the death toll crosses the 300-mark.
Badly-hit states such as Lagos, and federal capital territory (FCT) continued to report rising tallies, with 163 and 76 new cases recorded on Wednesday respectively.
While new cases continued to surface in several other states such as 23 in Ebonyi, 21 in Rivers also figured among the states where more people tested positive for COVID-19.
Eight new cases each were recorded in Delta, Nasarawa, Niger, while Enugu registered Six new cases, followed by Bauchi, Edo , Ekiti, Ondo, and Gombe with five each.
Also on the NCDC COVID- 19 update for Wednesday are Benue and Ogun with four and two respectively while one each for Osun, Plateau, Kogi, and Anambra.
The number of active cases has also risen to 7522, while at least 3329 COVID-19 patients have recovered already giving an overall recovery rate of over 35 per cent. the total number of death now stands at 315.
