The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has begun inspection of orientation camps ahead of the planned mobilization of corps members.
The NYSC director of the southeast zone, Ahmed Ikaka during the inspection orientation camp in Anambra state has been inspected and is fit for reopening.
He said he was impressed with the readiness of the orientation camp for the post-COVID-19 activities.
The federal government on Thursday, September 3, gave the approval for NYSC to start making preparations for the reopening of orientation camps nationwide.
He commended the coordinator and his team for putting in place hand wash and medical facilities in the camp.
The NYSC director said as part of the COVID-19 safety measures, the number of corps members that would be allowed in camps will be reduced, also disclosing that the number of NYSC batches would be increased in order not to congest the orientation camps.
