A 17-year-old Texas teenager has been arrested for allegedly killing his newborn son to get out of paying for child support.
News channel 8 reported Caleb Blake Brown and the baby’s mother, also 17 took their three-week-old son Emerson Ziesmer to the emergency room after the mother noticed the baby had become pale and had significant bruising around his abdomen.
However, the infant was then transferred to the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas but tragically died from his injury.
According to reports, the autopsy on the newborn show that he had a torn liver, some misplaced ribs, and an abrasion behind his head.
Further investigation shows that the infant’s father Brown was briefly alone with the infant on the afternoon of August 9, and in his affidavit of an arrest warrant, he squeezed him and repeatedly threw him into the air, eventually hitting the ceiling fan.
Brown is been held at Denton County Jail where his bond has been set at $2 million, News channel 8 reports.
