Students kidnapped from the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi in Benue State have regained their freedom after three days.
Three students were on Sunday, April 25, 2021, kidnapped in the school premises by gunmen that invaded the University.
The state police spokesperson, DSP Catherine Anene, who confirmed the development, said no ransom was paid for the freedom of the hostages, also no arrests were announced either.
There has been a series of attacks across the country in recent times, with gunmen invading communities and schools, leading to abductions and killings, especially in the northern region.
Over 20 students were kidnapped from Greenfield University in Kaduna last week, with five of them shot to death to force the government to negotiate for their release.
However, 10 of the students abducted from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation have been released.
