US House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, has called on Vice President Mike Pence and the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Donald Trump from office.
It came a day after a violent mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol, forcing the building into lockdown. Trump called them “very special” people and said he loved them.

During a press conference, Pelosi said “I join the Senate Democratic leader in calling on the vice president to remove this president by immediately invoking the 25th Amendment. If the vice president and Cabinet do not act the Congress may be prepared to move forward with impeachment.”
She said at the Capitol: “The president of the United States incited an armed insurrection against America.
Adding that the US is in a very “difficult place if Donald Trump remains in the presidency.” “Any day can be a horror show for America.”

The 25th Amendment allows for the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet to declare the president unfit for office. The vice president then becomes acting president.
