The Real Madrid boss has become the latest in a long line of senior figures to contract coronavirus.
Despite winning a first LaLiga title in three years last season, his future at the Santiago Bernabeu has once again come under increasing pressure following the club’s latest performance, including Wednesday’s Copa del Rey defeat by third division Alcoyano.
In addition to that humiliating outcome of the match, Madrid also lost to Athletic Bilbao in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup last week and they currently sit second in LA Liga and seven points adrift of leaders Atletico, who also have a game in hand.
