Taylor Swift’s “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” Video Revealed at Final Eras Tour London Show

The final night of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in London was a spectacular event filled with surprises. After closing her Wembley Stadium show on Tuesday, Aug. 20, the pop sensation, aged 34, unveiled the highly anticipated music video for “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” from her recent album, The Tortured Poets Department. The video was shown to the audience after her performance and features behind-the-scenes footage of Swift preparing for the Eras Tour and interacting with her crew and dancers. It was later released on YouTube for fans around the world.

The video begins with the stadium filling up with fans before transitioning to exclusive backstage content from the Eras Tour. It showcases Taylor Swift rehearsing different segments of “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” with her dancers, interspersed with enthusiastic fan reactions and playful moments, such as being transported in a cleaning cart and jumping onto an airbag from the stage.

During the evening’s Eras Tour concert, the “Fortnight” artist delighted fans by inviting her friend and collaborator Florence Welch to the stage for a live performance of their song “Florida!!!”, which is also from The Tortured Poets Department. This was the song’s debut live performance during the tour. Additionally, Swift’s friend and producer Jack Antonoff joined her on stage for a mash-up that included “Death By a Thousand Cuts” from her album Lover and “Getaway Car” from Reputation.

The 14-time Grammy winner praised her collaborative friendships, saying, “I think a lot about why I’m lucky enough to get to do a show like the Eras Tour, and it’s because I’ve been fortunate enough to find friendships over the years that have been incredibly collaborative and creative [forces]. I get to make music with one of my best friends in the world, and he’s here tonight.”

Following their duet, Swift performed “So Long, London” for the first time live. “You know, we have done a lot of shows on here on this tour, so it’s kind of rare to have a song that I’ve never performed live before,” the “Mirrorball” performer reflected before her performance. “And yet here we are.”

This London leg of the Eras Tour was especially significant as it marked Swift’s return to the stage after three performances were canceled in Vienna due to an alleged terror plot targeting her concerts. After her final London show, the “Cruel Summer” singer will take a brief break before resuming the Eras Tour in Miami on Oct. 18.
