Travis Kelce’s first public comments about his wedding to Taylor Swift have reportedly sparked frustration among some guests who were asked to keep the celebration private.
Kelce recently described the July 3 wedding at New York’s Madison Square Garden as the “best night of my life” while speaking to reporters at Kansas City Chiefs training camp. He also thanked the roughly 1,000 guests who attended the star-studded celebration.
The remarks have reportedly raised questions among some attendees because guests were required to sign nondisclosure agreements before receiving details about the wedding. Reports before the ceremony said the agreements were designed to prevent guests from revealing information about the highly private event.
Some guests are said to feel that the arrangement creates an awkward situation, with Swift and Kelce able to speak publicly about their special day while attendees remain expected to stay silent.
However, the reported frustration has not been universal. Others have defended the couple’s decision, arguing that the NDAs were intended to protect their privacy and prevent sensitive wedding details from leaking online.
Kelce offered a few more details about the celebration, describing it as a “crazy night” filled with plenty of celebration. He also joked about the summer heat in New York, saying the air conditioning at Madison Square Garden was one of the highlights of the evening.
The wedding was deliberately kept under wraps, with guests receiving limited information before the event. Reports indicated that NDAs were part of the couple’s efforts to maintain secrecy around the ceremony.
Swift and Kelce officially married at Madison Square Garden, with actor Adam Sandler officiating. Swift’s brother Austin served as her man of honor, while Kelce’s brother Jason was his best man.
For now, neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly addressed reports of guest dissatisfaction over the confidentiality rules.
