Remaining the worst COVID-hit state in the country, Lagos on Sunday registered 152 COVID cases, taking the total infection tally in the state to 12,427, as Nigeria center for disease control(NCDC) updates its coronavirus cases in the country. With 571 confirmed cases in the past 24 hours.
Sixteen more patients succumbing to the infection, the number of fatalities further rose to 740, In the latest NCDC update via social media on Sunday, 19 states and the Federal capital territory(FCT), Abuja, accounts for cases registered in the past 24 hours.
State with new cases includes, Lagos(152), Ebonyi(108), Edo(53), Ondo(46), FCT(38), Oyo(20), Kwara(19), Plateau(17), Osun(14), Bayelsa(14), Ekiti(14), Katsina(14), Akwa Ibom(11), Kaduna(11), Rivers(11), Niger(10), Ogun(7), Kano(6), Cross River(4), Bauchi(2).
A total of 344 people were discharged in the day, taking the number of the recovered cases to 13,447, while the Nigeria overall tally rose to 32558 including 18,371 active cases.
