791 new COVID infections were reported In Nigeria, with eight deaths

On Thursday, 791 additional Covid-19 infections were reported in Nigeria, bringing the total number of active cases to 25,620.

Lagos topped the list with 523 new cases, according to statistics released on the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) verified website on Friday, with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) following in second with 84 instances.

According to the Health Ministry, eight people died on Wednesday as a result of COVID-19 problems, bringing the country’s death toll to 3,066.

There have been 791 new cases reported from 14 states: Lagos(523), FCT(84), Oyo(48), Ondo(35), Kano(22), Borno(16), Delta(15), Edo(15), Ogun(9), Jigawa(7), Bauchi(6), Plateau(5), Rivers(4), and Bayelsa ((2).

With this, the total number of Covid cases in the country has risen to 246,195, with 217,509 patients discharged.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian public health agency said that 3,863,081 persons had been tested for the virus.
