A Corps member, Caleb Oyeyemi, serving in Ibadan, Oyo State, has been sentenced to two years imprisonment for an Internet love scam by a Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin.
Justice Adenike Akinpelu found Oyeyemi guilty on two counts of scam filed against him the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), The Punch reported.
Oyeyemi was sentenced to one year imprisonment on each of the counts, which are to run concurrently.

However, the court gave him an option of N200, 000 fine on each count.
He was arrested in March 2020 by EFCC based on intelligence reports. He however pleaded guilty when the counts were read to him when he was arraigned on November 26, 2020.
