Nigeria on Wednesday reported 184 new #COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths, 51 of them in Lagos alone, taking the overall case count to 4971 and the number of fatalities to 164, according to the Nigeria centre for disease control (NCDC).
Meanwhile, the count of coronavirus positive patients in Lagos alone crossed the 2000-mark after 108 more persons were found infected from Tuesday- Wednesday.
The number of Covid-19 cases in the country’s capital city (Abuja) rose to 370 from 360 after new patients were found in the past 24 hours, the NCDC said.
According to NCDC recent Update on Covid-19 in the country, Kano state which is the second must-hit state in Nigeria recorded Fourteen new cases placing the state at 707 total cases.
Other states which record new cases of Covid-19 includes; Jigawa with 23 cases, Bauchi and Katsina with Sixteen cases, Ten in Rivers state.
Kwara state has nine new cases. Delta and Kaduna states have five new cases each while Sokoto and Oyo states followed with four cases each.
Kebbi, Nasarawa, and Osun state all have three cases each while Ondo has two nee cases. Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Anambra, Plateau, and Niger states all have one case each.
However, A total of 111 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the total number of recovered patients to 1070, while active cases now stand at 3737.
