The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21 as public holidays.
These days are set aside to mark Good Friday and Easter Monday, two major Christian holidays.
Interior Minister Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government.
In a statement signed by Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, the minister urged reflection.
He reminded Nigerians of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, calling it a time to embrace love, selflessness, and unity.
Tunji-Ojo also encouraged citizens to use the break to pray for peace, unity, and stability in the country.
