Nigeria recorded 790 new #COVID19 cases on Wednesday, taking its overall tally to 26,484, the Nigeria center for disease control said.

As many as 406 patients were discharged post-recovery on Wednesday, which took the number of recovered persons to 10152 in the country, NCDC added.
On the New cases, Delta state recorded the highest number with 166 people testing positive to the virus, followed by Lagos with 120 new cases.

NCDC also announced 43 cases in Ogun, 41in Kano, 39 in Kaduna, 33 in Ondo, 32 in Rivers, 29 in Bayelsa, 21 in Katsina, 20 in Imo, 18 in Kwara, 11 in Oyo, 10 in Abia, 6 in Benue, 4 in Gombe, while Yobe, Bauchi, Kebbi all recorded two each.
Following this update, the number of active infections in Nigeria now stood at 15,729.
