Apple has introduced the iPhone Air, the thinnest iPhone ever made.
The device measures 5.64mm in thickness and weighs 165g. It features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2736×1260 pixels, ProMotion refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz, HDR, True Tone, and peak brightness of 3000 nits. Both sides are protected with Ceramic Shield 2.
The iPhone Air runs on the new A19 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine, built on a 3nm process. It includes the N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread, as well as the C1X modem with 30 percent higher efficiency than the iPhone 16 Pro.
It ships with iOS 26, featuring the Liquid Glass interface and Apple Intelligence tools. Key features include Clean Up photo editing, Live Translation, Visual Intelligence, Genmoji creation, Call Screening, Hold Assist, and a new Apple Games app.
The rear camera system is led by a 48MP Fusion Main sensor with 28mm and 35mm focal lengths and 2x telephoto support. It has a quad-pixel sensor, sensor-shift OIS, and an upgraded Photonic Engine. The front uses an 18MP Center Stage camera. Both support 4K60 HDR Dolby Vision video.
Battery performance offers up to 27 hours of video playback. The phone supports 20W fast charging, MagSafe, and Qi2 wireless charging.
Other features include IP68 water and dust resistance, Face ID, stereo speakers, an Action button, a Camera Control key, and an eSIM-only design. The titanium frame is made with 80 percent recycled material.
Pricing starts at 999 dollars for the 256GB model, 1,199 dollars for 512GB, and 1,399 dollars for 1TB. Pre-orders open on September 12. Sales begin September 19 in 63 countries, with rollout to more markets on September 26.
Apple also introduced the Watch Ultra 3, Watch SE 3, and AirPods Pro 3. The new wearables include satellite messaging, improved health tracking, and upgraded active noise cancellation. AirPods Pro 3 add heart rate monitoring and real-time translation.
